The Counselling Process
During the initial session we can discuss the full range of your issues. At the end, you may wish to book further sessions or you may want to think about it.
Sessions will run for one hour.
You will feel better just by taking this first step. You can either telephone or e-mail to make an appointment. When phoning, please leave your name and contact details, if I am unavailable to take your call. If e-mailing, please provide your name, suburb, phone number, best time for me to call, and the nature of your enquiry.
How many sessions will I need?
The time, number and frequency of sessions will be agreed upon mutually and may be dependent on the nature of the issues you need to discuss. However, you may be reassured to know that I am committed to ensure you attend only the number of sessions you require.
Individual counselling: $70 per session
Couple counselling: $85 per session
Informed Consent is a process we shall discuss together to ensure your counselling journey is completely understood prior to the commencement of any sessions.
I will make every effort to ensure that what is discussed in our sessions remains confidential. However, there may be times where legal and ethical requirements may make it necessary for me to discuss information about our counselling together with other professionals. These situations would include:
- If there is any danger of you harming yourself or another person.
- If I am subpeoned by the courts to release information.
- If you are under 18 years of age and report that you are a victim of incest, rape or sexual abuse to which you have been subjected.
- If you request that your records be released to yourself or a third party.
